Museums & Exhibitions

I worked at Freakworks and ISO Design for nearly 10 years where I was the senior motion designer specialising mostly in museum and exhibition experiences. I was the lead designer creating immersive works for clients like Carlsberg, the Burrell Collection in Glasgow, Triumph motorcycles, the Kuwaiti Royal family and the Waldorf Astoria in New York. Amongst many more. I created enormous fully immersive experiences with dozens of projectors, VR experience films and even an album cover for Scottish band Del Amitri. I used Cinema 4D, Redshift, World Creator and After Effects and established ISO’s in house render farm.

Carlsberg

I was senior designer across a range of visual experiences at the Carlsberg museum in Copenhagen. Among them was a life-size film telling the story of the Jacobson family and how the Carlsberg brewery was founded. We filmed actors on green screen and created fully CGI environments of Paris, Copenhagen and London which were all stylised to give the impression of a dream long ago. Redshift, Cinema 4D and After Effects were the tools of choice as usual.

Chicago MSI

Based in Chicago, the Griffin MSI is the largest science museum in the western hemisphere. I was responsible for creating an immersive visual experience which, when viewed from onboard an original ‘Silver Streak’ train brought to life the story on speed an efficiency. This was an exciting project and created a dynamic centrepiece for the gallery. X-Particles, Cinema 4D and After Effects helping to bring it all to life.

Triumph motorcycles

As the lead motion designer, I crafted several captivating and immersive films that guide you through Triumph's legendary journey. Each film brings to life the stories behind the machines that have shaped motorcycling history. With immersive widescreen and curved multi projector setups, this is still a world class exhibition. Winner of Public space design award 2018.

Oman Museum

As the Senior Motion Designer for the Oman Across Ages Museum, I had the privilege of crafting visual narratives that bring Oman's rich heritage to life. My role involved designing immersive exhibits that captivate visitors, blending history with cutting-edge technology. Through dynamic storytelling and innovative design, I helped create an engaging experience that celebrates Oman's cultural legacy and its journey through the ages. Explore the museum and witness the stories of a nation unfold through my creative vision.

Jodrell Bank

Jodrell Bank is a world renowned obersvatory in England featuring the Lovell Telescope. This telescope is the 3rd largest telescope in the world and played a key part in the Cold war by tracking Soviet satellites in the 1960s. I was the senior motion designer and worked closely with the talented illustrator to bring the stories of the telescope to life. I mainly leaned on the 2.5D parallax style using After Effects to bring the illustrations to life
